This game rocks from a 2 player co-op perspective as the whole game emphasizes this point. The graphics are really good and the gameplay is like all shooter games, but you are now forced to work as a 2 unit team where the gameplay mechanics require cooperation and teamwork of both players. I like that this game attempts to add a new spin on the shooter mechanics and it's a much welcome change. I definitely recommend this game to those out there looking to have a game where they can work with a friend to go through the missions.
Overall it is a fun game, just as COD it is very addictive and fun. If you choose to have a live partner, make sure they dont run off, but if you choose the machine, you will have to controll him too.
Unlike Gears, in Army of Two you can purchase different weapons with the cash you earn after completing the missions. If you run out of ammo in one gun you can switch to another gun, but you cannot pick up a gun that your enemy had.
This is like COD and Gears, the difference is that you have to work with a partner to make it through different levels and complete the missions. You can allow your partner to take some heat while you sneak around and attack from behind.
The GPS feature is great, it allows you to see which direction you should go and it also allows you to see different mines. The Aggro feature is also great.
When dragging you to safety, your AI partner may pull you into the line of fire instead of take cover to heal you. A sure stress reliever after a hards day at work.
The only problem was waiting to get the game. The game is awesome. I am glad i bought it.
That said, after playing of a lot of disappointing shooters after COD4 and COD: World at War, this game actually brought some of the fun back to gaming for me. Although, I would have liked to have seen the ability of the character to pick up dropped enemy weapons throughout the game. To be quite honest, I thought the game was about aliens or some other SciFi stuff - something I'm not a huge fan of. I would not normally write a review for a game, but this game I recently bought (albeit much later than it actually came out) and I was pleasantly surprised. Lastly, I'd overall recommend this game to those that like co-ops or shooters. Another cool aspect to this game was the ability to customiz/upgrade the characters weapons and allowed you to decide which one to carry.
Made me think about Vegas 2 a lot, but the characters in this game are easier to control.
First, I thought the graphics were great - especially during the cut scenes - especially when played on my 65" HD gaming TV.
Overall, the game was moderately challenging.
Before, the cover of the game caused me to not even want to pick up the game to look at it in the store.
I would also have liked to see more vehicle use (like in Halo 3).
I think that the cut scenes were appropriate length to give a slight break from gaming - and the graphics of the cut scenes were awesome.
I really liked the co-op play feature - with the two warriors going through the whole game (whether you teamed with a buddy or teamed with the CPU).
I completed it in about 10-16 hours of solid playing over 2 days.
And as far as re-playability, I cannot wait to do it again.
Es el mejor juego shooter de aventuras para dos personas, normalmente estaba acostumbrado a shooter para una persona pero este juego revoluciona eso y para los que no nos gusta jugar solos es la mejor opción
